Brewing Guide
Master Your Brew
Discover the perfect way to brew your Juan Valdez® Colombian coffee. Whether you prefer a bold French press or a smooth cold brew, here’s how to get the most out of every cup.

French Press
- Use 2 tablespoons of coarsely ground coffee per 200ml of water.
- Heat water to 93-96°C (just below boiling).
- Pour water over the grounds and stir gently.
- Let it steep for 4 minutes.
- Press the plunger slowly and serve immediately.

Pour Over
- Place a filter in your dripper and rinse with hot water.
- Add 2 tablespoons of medium-ground coffee.
- Pour a small amount of water (93°C) to bloom the grounds for 30 seconds.
- Slowly pour the remaining water in a circular motion over 2-3 minutes.
- Let it drip completely and enjoy.

Drip Coffee Maker
- Add water to the reservoir and a filter to the basket.
- Use 1 tablespoon of ground coffee per cup, or 1 drip sachet.
- Start the machine and let it brew.
- Serve fresh — don’t leave coffee on the hot plate for more than 30 minutes.

Moka Pot
- Fill the bottom chamber with hot water up to the safety valve.
- Add finely ground coffee to the filter basket — fill it evenly without pressing down.
- Assemble the Moka Pot and place on medium-low heat.
- When coffee begins to gurgle and flow into the upper chamber, remove from heat.
- Serve immediately — Moka Pot coffee is rich, bold, and espresso-like.

AeroPress
- Place a filter in the cap and rinse with hot water. Attach to the chamber.
- Add 1 rounded tablespoon of medium-fine ground coffee.
- Pour 200ml of water at 85-90°C and stir for 10 seconds.
- Insert the plunger and press down slowly and steadily for about 30 seconds.
- Enjoy as is, or dilute with hot water for an Americano-style cup.

Cold Brew
- Combine 1 cup of coarsely ground coffee with 4 cups of cold water.
- Stir gently and cover.
- Refrigerate for 12-24 hours.
- Strain through a fine mesh filter or cheesecloth.
- Serve over ice. Dilute with water or milk to taste.

Freeze-Dried (Instant) Coffee
- Add 1-2 teaspoons of freeze-dried coffee to your cup.
- Pour hot water (90°C) and stir.
- Add milk, sugar, or cream to taste.
- For iced coffee: dissolve in a small amount of hot water first, then add ice and cold milk.
